New Radiohead record is getting more likely

It’s been spoken about a while now although no official announcement has been made yet: A new RADIOHEAD-record is in the making. The latest statement derives from a tweet by RADIOHEAD‘s longtime producer Nigel Godrich that shows guitarist Johnny Greenwood in front of a studio soundboard. The text that comes with it should be taken as a joke as it is highly unlikely that these guys are involved in the production of an album by VOGUE’s editor-in-chief ANNA WINTOUR. But well, who knows. Obviously the guys keep playing on us but we stay confident about an official announcement soon.

Desaparecidos reveal new old song ‘Backsell’

In anticipation of their soon to be released comeback record Payola CONOR OBERST‘s punk outfit DESAPARECIDOS have revealed Backsell – a song that’s probably familiar to some but will be included on their forthcoming album in a proper form for the first time. Before it has only been published as a B-side to the 2012 single MariKKKopa. The song follows City On The Hill, the first single of the new record which is out June 23 via Epitaph. You can listen to the new old tune right here.

A few weeks ahead of the release of their new album Drones British rock superstarts MUSE have unveiled another new song from it. Mercy comes with an animated new lyric video and is a piano-driven rock ballad that has been done by Matt Bellamy and his pals before. Of course it is also part of the album’s bigger concept.
