The wait is finally over. Thrash metal gods SLAYER are releasing Repentless, their first studio-album in six long years today, proving once again that metal knows no age and they remain on op of their game. And just to underline their unique status Kerry King and the rest of the gang deliver a blood-thirsty video clip for the record’s title-track.
Why Should I Watch This?
Because it features SLAYER performing in a prison while a bloody riot breaks out around them. Oh, and none other than B-movie god and part-time Machete Mr. Danny Trejo plays an essential part in the audiovisual massacre. It’s safe to say that this one is NSFW as it features a fair amount of violence and bestiality. Just because… well, SLAYER can. Remember when METALLICA played at Saint-Quentin back in 2003? This was a picnic compared to Repentless.
Anything Else?
The new SLAYER video is the first music video work by BJ McDonnell who previously directed the horror movie Hatchet III. But even more interesting – he was also a cameraman for Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man. And that Marvel connection truly is a surprising one, wouldn’t you agree?
