Yes, we can see you, TEI SHI. Especially after this impressive new track. The young singer from Brooklyn is on the best way to become the next best thing. Of course, you hear such claims all the time but there’s something hypnotic within the sound of her dreamy new single See Me that instantly sucks you in. The cold wave beat, the tiny electronic elements buzzing around it, the melancholic guitar play – and, of course, the singer on top of it, performing a bittersweet ballad about vulnerability and the search for approval.

See Me was produced by TEI SHI, longtime friend Gianluca Buccellati and Dave Bayley from GLASS ANIMALS. One of the guidelines of the singer during the recording process was the goal to have the track ‘sound like fishies swimming up a stream made of chocolate mousse.’ NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION can totally feel that comparison when listening to these four and a half minutes of easy floating beauty. It’s our well-deserved ‘Sound of the Night’ today and you can swim with it right here.
