Who is it?
Singer/Songwriter Mackenzie Scott and her alter ego TORRES returns with new material following her critically acclaimed 2015 debut Sprinter. Back then she somehow managed to slip through NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION‘s fingers but you can be sure that we don’t make the same mistake twice.
Why should you listen to it?
The cool grooving Skim is Scott’s first single in two years and we really like the combination of the pumping synthetic beats and the edgy lo-fi guitars. The Ashley Connor-directed video sees the artist and her guitar in an everyday settings while the song reflects on the conditionality of human interaction. But there’s also a sensual twist happening. To cut a long story short: It’s a great pop song, to say the least.

TORRES will release more music via 4AD over the course of this year and she freshly announced new tour dates which you can find below.
