Who is it?

Canadian five-piece VALAIRE already made an impact in their home country (two time ADISQ winners for Electronic Album of the Year + Juno and GAMIQ nominations) and are now aiming to bring the joyful funk-infected electropop of their latest album Oobopopop to the entire planet

Why should you listen to it?

Oobopopop could literally mean anything but in the world of VALAIRE it stands for freedom, happiness and the feeing of loosing control and that’s pretty much what their music is all about. On top of it they added Montreal soul legend ALAN PRATER to the funky cocktail who adds that special human element to Woody Wagon. The music video, created with the help of the Sid Lee Collective, also comes with a pretty funny idea that is destined to put a smile upon your face. After a way too long winter here at NBHAP’s Berlin headquarters the warm and sunny vibes of these guys arrived just in time, we must say.

What’s next?

VALAIRE‘s album Oobopopop is out now and the guys are also heading on tour which is quite possibly a live experience you should not miss. Find the dates right at the bottom of this page.

Everyday we’re adding NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION‘s Daily Tune to our ongoing Spotify playlist, packed with all the hidden treasures by those talented newcomers you need to know. Listen and follow right here.
