Who is it?

HALCYON are a still widely unknown dream pop four-piece from Brighton which is hopefully about to change. Tongue-Tied is the first song by the group after a few months of radio silence and it’s a really lovely one.

Why should you listen to it?

Tongue-Tied is a four minutes of delicate and shimmering dreamy guitar pop that feels as if ALT-J would have gone a less cryptic and TAME IMPALA a less psychedelic path. It’s sharp and soulful, urgent but still hazy enough to make you daydream. We also sense a few tiny nods to RADIOHEAD and the more atmospheric early BLOC PARTY in here. You see, those all aren’t the worst references, right?

What’s next?

The lads promised more music for 2017 and they aren’t signed yet. So, dearest indie labels, we think it’s time to jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late.

Everyday we’re adding NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION‘s Daily Tune to our ongoing Spotify playlist, packed with all the hidden treasures by those talented newcomers you need to know. Listen and follow right here.
