Almost two years ago we told you about Norwegian indie/rock outfit HOUSE BY THE LAKE and their debut album Woodlands which we all enjoyed very much back then. Now, the band around songwriter Sondre Strandskog returns with new music in the form of Hollow, a first teaser of their second studio album which is likely to be released in September 2017. According to Strandskog the song was ‘written on a starry night close to Moeidarhvoll in Iceland’ and is about ‘one of those strange existential moments where I felt incredibly insignificant as a human being’ in the presence of Mother Nature’s unique beauty.

NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is happy to present you the world premiere of the new HOUSE BY THE LAKE music video today which comes with an unusual protagonist as the singer/songwriter explains:

‘I found this rabbit costume online and thought it had a really sad expression and that it would work perfectly as the main character in the music video. There is a beautiful work of art close to where we live in our hometown Bergen, called ‘The White Rabbit’, by Rachel Dagnall and Anita Hillestad, located in a tiny peninsula in a lake. We thought the two of them should meet.

The result is a really tender but partly also powerful affair, thanks to the powerful character of the song. Witness Hollow right here.
