Last week BLOC PARTY frontman KELE confirmed the return to the studio with his band to record a follow-up record to 2012’s album Four. Still, it is yet unsure who will actually be part of the new BLOC PARTY line-up. Bassist Gordon Moakes is definitely not as he now confirmed via Twitter. ‘I’m not involved in the latest incarnation of Bloc Party’ he stated and also wrote that he wants to focus on his second band YOUNG LEGIONNAIRE in the future. He follows drummer Matt Tong who left the band back in 2013.
Still, both departures have never been officially confirmed from the band’s side. But sooner or later KELE OKEREKE and guitarist Russell Lissack might break the ice on the future line-up of the band. Until this happens why not take a closer look on our recent special on the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album Silent Alarm right here?
