Life after Death From Above 1979

Canadian garage rock duo DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 is about to release a documentary about their recent comeback. Entitled Life After Death From Above 1979, the Eva Michon-directed documentary deals with a retrospective on their influential 2004 debut You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine, the breakup, the band’s legacy and their comeback on the way to their just released sophomore album The Physical World. A while ago Jesse F. Keeler already opened up to NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION about the reasons for the initial break-up and the joining forces again, ten years later.

However, the documentary will show the full picture of DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979, featuring interviews with members of THE STROKES, YEAH YEAH YEAHS and JUSTICE. It’s out from October 7 on via Vimeo OnDemand. Watch a full trailer for the flick right here.
