Good sounds on the Spree… imagine that scenario

The first ever East Side Music Days in Berlin are approaching fast and NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is happy to be a crucial part of it on August 28 and 29 between Postbahnhof and Oberbaumbrücke. The free event brings the music back to the streets and gives young and talented musicians from every possible genre the chance to perform in front of the Berlin people, showcasing their music and maybe also scoring a good old-fashioned record contract. To find out more about the event and its full line-up please check our previously featured article on it right here.
We are tremendously happy to host our own stage and even better: it’s going to be a boat, boys and girls. Yes, exactly… during the course of the afternoon on Friday, August 28 NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION will invite you to join us for a cruise on the river Spree as our stage will be located on a special boat. Every two hours, on 3 p.m and 5 p.m. we’ll set sail from the pier in front of the Mercedes Benz Arena. The two ‘shifts’ will feature four crafted acts we picked from the 700 applications for the East Side Music Days. So, you get 90 minutes of summer cruising on the Spree and beautifully complied music at the same time. Classical win/win situation, right? And don’t forget the performance of the wonderful HENRIK JOSÉ on the mainstage on that evening as well; also one of our recommendations.

But for now, find our more about the groups from our boat ride below.

1st cruise at 3 pm

Somewhere between folk and jazz but always full of feelings. Crafted songwriter BEN BARRITT is one that deserves your attention. His forthcoming debut album goes by the name What Would You Like To Leave Behind? and we’re happy to have the long-lasting friend of our buddy JIM KROFT on board for this sweet afternoon performance on our boat.

Right after it gets a bit dreamier and more electronic as Parissa E. and Paul Brenning aka PARI SAN will bring their eclectic synthpop gems to our boat trip. And since these guys recently already supported the almighty RÓISÍN MURPHY this clearly isn’t the worst choice, right?

2nd cruise at 5 pm

Berlin-based songwriter ANNE HAIGHT starts our second session with her gentle songs that constantly bounce between melodic electro folk and confident indie pop. We’re happy to have her on board (literally) with the songs from her forthcoming debut album In The Darkness.

And last but not least we have former REPTILE YOUTH member Esben Valløe and his new alter ego ANTONIO GRAM who will deliver one of his rare and delightful DJ-sets to end our small nautic adventure on that Friday afternoon. Expect eclectic and entertaining grooves with a quite diversified selection from the Dane.
