Now, that’s what you call a marketing stunt. Today not only saw the long awaited launch of iPhone 6 (at least when you are a dedicate ‘Apple’ follower) but also the return of Irish superstars U2. The spectacular event did not only feature the company’s brand new ‘Apple Watch’ but also ended with Bono and his boys performing their new single The Miracle (of Joey Ramone) and announcing their long awaited new album Songs of Innocence. And the best part of it… it is out now via iTunes for free(!) with a worldwide release following on October the 13th.

The album features eleven new songs and was recorded in Dublin, London, New York and Los Angeles and is produced by Danger Mouse, along with Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney and Flood.  Songs Of Innocence is U2‘s first album in five years. It follows 2009’s No Line On The Horizon. You can grab it for free via iTunes right here until October the 13th. Here’s the band’s new Apple commercial including The Miracle (of Joey Ramone).
