On the 21st of June, NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION presents the second free Midsommar Festival inside and outside at Berlin’s Party Obsessed People (p.o.p.) in order to celebrate the highlight of the summer time in Scandinavia. Due to the shortness of the Scandinavian summer time there is a huge party to render homage to the longest day of the year. People are coming together, to drink “nubbe” (liquor), eat “sill” (marinated fish), play traditional Midsommar games like tug war or Kubb and dance around the maypole which is the center of the Midsommar day scenario. Besides a few Scandinavian bands and DJ’s we prepared several games as well as typical food and drinks for you. Among other great artists Anders Rhedin, aka DINNER, originally hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, just released his second EP Girl in Berlin, and Caecilie Trier alias CTM who released the first EP of her solo project, will sweeten the afternoon with their sounds. In addition to that there will be a flower wreath workshop and the Maistången Dance around our former self-built maypole waiting for you in the afternoon. By late evening the Festival we will be continued indoor and our DJ’s looking forward to invite you to dance the Midsommar Night away…
