In the mood for some tropical psychedelia this morning? LANGUAGES are a new electronica duo based in Berlin whose sound and visual appearance combines neo esoteric priests robes which retro-infected laid back grooves. Their first EP goes by the name 连体双胞胎 and arrives on December the 2nd via label Days Of Being Wild. None other than JAGWAR MA and TEN FÉ producer Ewan Pearson also remixed a track on it which isn’t the worst thing you can have on your debut release, right?
Today NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION debuts Siamese Twings, the opening track of the EP, a colourful and sun-filled piece of dreamy sweetness. Here’s what the band got to say about it.
We are happy to introduce you to the world of Languages through this first EP, 连体双胞胎. The EP name is a reference to Siamese Twins, which is the second song we wrote (after Sleep Stream, also part of the EP), it represents a mix of chilled electronica, priesty psychedelia & the slightly deranged world we like to explore through our music. The song, two ‘siamese twins blown apart in the war’ and trying to get back together, is a simple metaphore of loss and filling the void with eternal searching – we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we had creating it !
You can listen to the new LANGUAGES material below and if you happen to be in Berlin on December the 1st don’t miss their release party at Bakermoon Studios as well.
