BoySetsFire share new video Closure

BOYSETSFIRE unveiled Closure, another new song from their upcoming album While A Nation Sleeps…

Hardcore band BOYSETSFIRE released a video to their song Closure. The song is taken from the band’s upcoming album While A Nation Sleeps… which will be released on June 7th via End Hits Records in Europe and on June 11th via Bridge 9 Records in the rest of the world. While A Nation Sleeps… will be BOYSETSFIRE‘s first full-length album after their 2006 release The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague Years.

Shortly after the release of The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague Years, the band announced to split up after one last tour. Due to a tragic accident of BOYSETSFIRE‘s guitarist Joshua Latshaw, this last tour was postponed to 2007, so that he was able to tour with the band for a very last time. BOYSETSFIRE fans all around the world hoped that the band will comeback one day. Suddenly, on October 5th 2010, BOYSETSFIRE announced on their Facebook page that they’d play several shows and that an entire tour in 2011 would follow. On August 29th 2011, it was announced that the recordings for a new album will start right after the end of the tour. In late 2011 and 2012 BOYSETSFIRE suffered from several line-up changes, but finally managed to find the right line-up to focus on their music again.

Some weeks ago, in April 2013, BOYSETSFIRE released a new song titled Bled Dry. Now, with Closure, a second new song from the upcoming album, While A Nation Sleeps…, got released. Two strong tracks that make us looking forward to another hopefully strong album by the hardcore band from Newark, Delaware, USA.

A short personal note: I grew up with BOYSETSFIRE‘s music. When they released their second full-length album, After The Eulogy (2000), I started listening to their music and somehow they never left me. Although their later album weren’t that hard anymore, I always loved how political they always have been and how you could hear at their sound that the band members got older (in a positive way!). When listening to the BOYSETSFIRE discography, which I seriously do these days, a lot of memories come up. And I am sure that While A Nation Sleeps… another soundtrack of a period of my very personal life will be released soon. With Bled Dry and Closure two great songs are already out.
