Who is it?
LUXURY DEATH, which by the way is one of the best band names of all time, aka Manchester girlfriend/boyfriend duo Meg Williams & Ben Thompson. They’ve signed up to Stockholm label PNKSLM and are prepping to release their debut EP, off which the lead single is Glue.
Why should you listen to it?
Because it’s a razor sharp piece of indie-rock. Glue kicks off as an energy-packed, skittish song, bouncing between colourful synths and a loose bassline as Williams and Thompson swap vocals, before it crystallises into a glowing, glorious chorus. The band say Glue is
a conversation between two lovers at different stages in their lives. They are chained together; simultaneously holding each other close & pulling each other apart. Glue is an expression of that tight, unbalanced unity
What’s next?
LUXURY DEATH‘s debut EP, also titled Glue, is out on February 24th featuring the following four songs.
1. Radiator Face
2. Glue
3. Listerine
4. Needle
