Cherilyn MacNeil’s indie pop project DEAR READER unveils a wonderful video to the first single of its forthcoming album Rivonia. Telling a sad story from the hard lives of african miners the clip to Down Under, Mining is created in the form of a puppeteer theatre made of paper cut-outs, produced by Barbara Steinitz and Philine Sollmann.
DEAR READER‘s Cherilyn MacNeil was born in Johannesburg and now lives in Berlin. Her music contains elements of folk, indie rock and experimental pop. After her joint release with GET WELL SOON and her previous longplayer Idealistic Animals (with a guest appearance of CALEXICO‘s Martin Wenk) Rivonia will be the third album of DEAR READER, out April the 8th via City Slang.
