Multi-instrumentalist DORIT CHRYSLER has unveiled a new video for the darkly atmospheric track Avalanche, taken from the same-named EP which was released via TRENTEMØLLER´s imprint In My Room. Following Winter Glow and directed by Danish artist Jesper Just and award-winning music video director Martin de Thurah, the clip was filmed shortly after Hurricane Sandy swept through the streets of New York. It shows the Austrian musician herself, crawling blindly through a rumpled apartment in Brooklyn: „We made the place dishevelled, as if in the wake of some kind of unknown catastrophe“ she tells and adds: „I got rug burn from walking on all fours for several hours.“
The song, CHRYSLER explains, is „about being on your own in this bubble, experiencing the avalanche of emotions while the rest of the city is sleeping. … Sometimes when you are very tired you tap into subconscious places that are usually guarded.“ Indeed. Watch the video for Avalanche right here:
