On February the 26th beloved Danish indie band EFTERKLANG played their last concert in the way we know them. Back then it first seemed as if the band was parting ways but the three-piece pretty soon stated: ‘We are not splitting up. We are saying goodbye to Efterklang in its current form and to the idea of what Efterklang is.‘ That final show now also gets a wonderful documentary in form of a one-hour-long film by Parisian film-maker Vincent Moon.
The show truly was one hell of an epic farewell to the band’s past. EFTERKLANG performed at Sønderborg’s Alsion Concert Hall, backed by the South Denmark Philharmonic orchestra and South Denmark Girls’ Choir. The band’s last album Piramida was released back in 2012, last year the band talked with NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION about future plans and revealed that they indeed had none at this point. We’ll keep you updated on this, in the meantime enjoy that little film below.
