At least Danish singer IDA GARD really seems to be in the mood for a ’24 hours coffee break’ as she sings in her latest single Need A Break. The song is taken off this year’s sophomore studio album Doors. You might also remember its joyful title-track which NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION named ‘Sound of the Day’ a while ago.
Need A Break is another good-vibes-spreading piece of headstrong pop by the crafted Dane, one that makes you wear your head up high and face life’s troubles with a big fat grin. Basically just what the musician does in the new Apperaat-directed video. Going her own way really is one of IDA GARD‘s specialities. She refused a big, tempting major label deal when she was just 22 years old and is walking her very own path ever since while being quite aware that it’s usually the harder one.
