Being on the road sometimes is essential for writing a good song. The up and coming German singer/songwriter Robert Laupert definitely knows a thing or two about that. Ever since he decided to spend some time in Budapest in order to work on his music there, the young musician stayed restless – endless touring and the release of his first single I Would Do It All Again ultimately turned him into the artist we now have the joy to listen to: L’AUPAIRE has been born. Blues, folk, pop, jazz – all of Laupert’s musical socialization is in there somewhere.
Being the ambitious and talented musician he is, L’AUPAIRE wouldn’t have wasted a second to even think about missing out on the chance to play the most recent edition of the MELT!-Festival. Only one date in L’AUPAIRE‘s extensive festival calendar for this year but an important one. And so he did it. Fortunately for all who couldn’t make it to Ferropolis and for all who’ve been there but missed out on Laupert and his band, the whole thing got captured on tape. And you can watch two of the live takes exclusively here on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION. Enjoy Rollercoaster Girl and L’AUPAIRE‘s latest single I Would Do It All Again, out now via VIRGIN, below and convince yourself of this guy’s talent.
