MAGNETIC POETRY are a couple from Moscow – both in music and real life. Their music has been taking shape over the course of five years and we’ve been accompanying their career for a while now. From the Fantasy Or Reality EP to a chat we had with them back in 2012. Now the two are finally ready to share their first, self-titled full-length with the world. And as we on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION are longtime fans of these lovely lads we are proud to present the exclusive stream of the whole thing for you below. Be prepared for 80s inflicted dreampop served in a consciously sweet way but undermined with a certain sense of melancholy. Contradictions have to be understood productively here:
We mindlessly try to hide in our cosy art like we try to sit out the unpleasant events of everyday life in Russia in our cosy small rented flat. We surround ourselves with colorful images and cheerful sounds and try to sink in them as deep as we can. Of course our music will never reflect the agenda of modern life but it will always break it through the prism of our feelings.
