Welsh rock legends MANIC STREET PREACHERS unveiled they’d been working on two different albums simultaneously: one “more acoustic and gentle in nature“ – entitled Rewind The Film – and the other “more spiky with lots and lots of guitars“. The video for the RICHARD HAWLEY duet, Rewind The Film, is the first taster from the same-named upcoming 11th album that will be out on 16 September. The official first single, Show Me The Wonder, will be available from September 9.
And another interesting news: As the band revealed Rewind The Film will include an anti-Thatcher song entitled 30 Year War. As bassist Nicky Wire stated “it starts with the miners’ strike and moves through Hillsborough, and it’s a critique of the attack on the working classes over the last 30 years.
