Manic Strett Preachers - Rewind The Film

Welsh rock legends MANIC STREET PREACHERS unveiled they’d been working on two different albums simultaneously: one “more acoustic and gentle in nature“ – entitled Rewind The Film – and the other “more spiky with lots and lots of guitars“. The video for the RICHARD HAWLEY duet, Rewind The Film, is the first taster from the same-named upcoming 11th album that will be out on 16 September. The official first single, Show Me The Wonder, will be available from September 9.

And another interesting news: As the band revealed Rewind The Film will include an anti-Thatcher song entitled 30 Year War. As bassist Nicky Wire stated “it starts with the miners’ strike and moves through Hillsborough, and it’s a critique of the attack on the working classes over the last 30 years. It’s the most spiteful, angry track on the album, and it’s almost the link to the other record – it sounds like ‘Lodger’-era Bowie.“ Listen to MANIC STREET PREACHERS‘ new song Rewind The Film featuring RICHARD HAWLEY right here and check out the tracklist and tour dates below:
