According to The Times the anticipated new DAVID BOWIE album might arrive in early 2016. As a new article states the follow-up to The Next Day goes by the name Blackstar and will arrive on January 8, 2016, the musician’s 69th birthday. His 25th studio album might only contain seven tracks but it spans 45 minutes. Blackstar was reportedly recorded at the Magic Shop in New York City with a group of jazz musicians and marks BOWIE‘s ‘oddest album’ so far, according to his own words.
The title-track itself seems to be a 10-minute long monster ans is described as ‘Gregorian chants, a soul section, various electronic beat and bleeps, and Bowie’s distinctive vocals. There is no radio edit; it’s all or nothing.’
A snippet from it already recently premiered as part of the soundtrack for the forthcoming TV drama The Last Panthers. The camp from DAVID BOWIE confirmed the release and says the title-track is set for a release on November 20th.
