New Order - Mute Records

History in the making. NEW ORDER + Daniel Miller

Slowly but steady the comeback of influential pop heroes NEW ORDER takes shape. Today the band announced that they sign to Mute Records for the forthcoming release of their long awaited comeback album. The band on the deal with Daniel Miller and his legendary label:We couldn’t imagine a better place to be than working with Daniel Miller and his team. Mute has a superb roster of artists and a history that complements our own. In many ways joining the label feels like we are coming home, returning to our independent roots.’

In the past months the band already played new songs like Plastic and Singularity during their concerts. Their new album will be the first one of NEW ORDER since 2005’s Waiting For The Sirens’ Call and also the first one without bassist Peter Hook who left the band back in 2007. In a recent interview with CoS frontman Bernard Sumner also hinted on a collaboration with legendary DFA mastermind James Murphy although he can’t really talk about it right now. These are surely exciting times for all fans of the band. Let’s celebrate with a classic right here.
