Seven years after their last studio album acclaimed band NOUVELLE VAGUE returns with a new one. I Could Be Happy follows the familiar recipe of taking old and almost forgotten punk rock and new wave classics and put them into a new Bossa Nova context. And for the first time ever masterminds Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux also wrote original songs for the new record which is set for a release on November the 4th.
Two new songs off the NOUVELLE VAGUE comeback are already up for stream. A cover of the COCTEAU TWINS classic Athol Brose as well as the album’s title-track which comes from Scottish post-punk group ALTERED IMAGES. Enjoy them both below.
