Play Nordic - Berlin 2014

Rhetorical question: anything superficial to say about Nordic idiosyncrasy? If yes, the PLAY NORDIC festival should help you around. Until October 1st the Nordic Embassies’ architecturally resplendent Felleshus in Berlin, will be transformed into a showroom, café and live-venue.

The three month long event will host a design exhibition, concerts, discussions, conferences and movie nights, specially curated record and book stores, a children’s playground, as well as a pop up café serving Nordic coffee.

Besides the steadily displayed exhibitions, over 30 events are planned. From the Opening night (curated by digital platform: Nordic Playlist) with music provided by Denmark’s famous KASPER BJÖRKE and rising DJ NADJA CHATTI from Sweden, to an Iceland event with live gigs by some of the popular Extreme Chill Festival musicians SKURKEN, RUXPIN and STEVE SAMPLING and a pancake performance (?!), things are stylistically diverse and culturally precious.

Linking Nordic Design to Opera, to Jazz and good old Pop, the festival will give a well curated insight to Nordic culture and innovative solutions to at last make the world a better looking and sounding place.
