Famous Russian feminist punk rock protesters PUSSY RIOT report back with a new music video Chaika. One again the clip is politically motivated and based on a documentary that was released last year. In in anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny tried to uncover connections between the family of Yuri Chaika, Russia’s prosecutor general, and a notorious Russian gang. PUSSY RIOT play with that connection by dressing up as officials, taking hostages and deliver a fancy dance routine. The band about the video:
Pussy Riot demands an immediate investigation against General Prosecutor Chaika and his family, as well as against all the top officials in his office. We hope that the CHAIKA music video will help to convince people that we cannot live in a country where its top law enforcement official is the brightest symbol of corruption and murder. Pussy Riot hopes that people around the world will help us voice our outrage and turn Russia into a country where people like Chaika can no longer exist.
The music video itself was produced by Dave Sitek of TV ON THE RADIO. Watch it right here.
