Russian Punk band PUSSY RIOT just released a new anti-Putin video. It shows the brutal action of Russian Cossacks against the activists, visting the Olympic city of Sochi. Put to this film is a song called Putin Will Teach You How to Love. The song is amongst others a support for Russian political prisoners and is also a show of solidarity for gay people who suffer from repressions in Russia.
Recently electropop singer ANNIE expressed her solidarity as well by releasing the video Russian Kiss which, showing gay couples kissing each other. As NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION discussed recently, it is important to be aware of what’s going on behind the glamourous facades of the Olympic Games.
