Former THE VERVE mastermind RICHARD ASHCROFT returns with These People, his first solo studio album in six years. It is set for a release on the 20th of May via his own Righteous Phonographic Association label (via Cooking Vinyl Records). And according to the songwriter the record deals with ‘some personal and world events [taking] a dark turn leading to a sense of urgency and a clearing of the mind’, covering up topics like the war in Syria, the Arab Spring uprisings but also the death of a close friend of ASHCROFT.
