SAFIA have been around for a while but they caught music fans’ eyes with their cover performance of ALT J’s Left Hand Free on Australian radio station triple-j. That was last May, and SAFIA are back with their new single Embracing Me. Even though Canberra-based band’s home country is currently in the midst of winter, Embracing Me’s catchy electronic tunes are just what we need as Europe’s heatwave continues.
SAFIA are currently touring Down Under to promote their new single and despite the appearances at European festivals such as Primavera and The Great Escape, they are still slightly unknown on this side of the globe. But it is for sure that in near future, electronic music fans around the world will embrace them.
