Aside from last year’s collaborative albums with Scott Walker and ULVER doom metal legends SUNN O))) haven’t released a stand-alone record in six years. But now the wait is over since the band announced Kannon, their first record since 2009’s Monoliths & Dimensions. It will feature only tree tracks – obviously entitled Kannon 1, Kannon 2 and Kannon 3.
The press release calls it ‘the most figurative album SUNN O))) has created’. Kannon will be released on December the 4th via Southern Lord, so Christmas gets a bit darker this year, right? Until we hear it enjoy a classic right here.
