Praised British soul/pop band THE HEAVY announced its new studio album Heart & The Merciless. The fourth full-length by the group will be released via Nina Tune on April the 1st with a first single called Since You Been Gone already arriving today. ‘It’s about toxicity,’ explains singer Kelv Swaby the song. ‘Toxicity that is within all of our lives – and how we deal with it.’ The music video also supports the idea of the song as he told the Wall Street Journal.
‘The scenes in black and white represent the memories of good times…gone bad. The scenes in color represent the longing for the high of those times of beauty, magnificence and glory.’
