Australian quartet THE JEZABELS report back with new material soon. The End is the name of the new single which will arrive on the 2nd of December via Play It Again Sam. It’s the first teaser from the group’s highly anticipated new longplayer which will arrive in early 2014. Singer Hayley Mary, guitarist Samuel Lockwood, pianist/keyboardist Heather Shannon and drummer Nik Kaloper formed THE JEZABELS, (the name is from a bible character) in 2007.
Their music an be characterized as a mix between indie, alternativ rock and disco pop, but the band made their own definition of the genre they play: “intensindie”. With one album Prisoner, three EP’s and a lot of live power these musicians are definitely a band to look out for. In summer 2012 NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION also met the band for an interview.
