DAVID BOWIE has always been a master when it comes to the staging of his own career. Besides planning his last album Blackstar as a special farewell gift to his fans it looks like he already planned several releases following his death two weeks ago. According to an exclusive report via Newsweek there is ‘a long list of unscheduled musical releases that Bowie planned before he died.’ According to the anonymous source Newsweek contacted these releases ‘have been divided into eras and will not necessarily be released in chronological order.’
The first compilation with previously unreleased DAVID BOWIE music could be released by the end of 2017, featuring unreleased material, alternative versions or demos. Newsweek furthermore quotes its source with the words: ‘Bowie was one of those artists who was very engaged and liked to control what was released from the vault.’ This news follows a previous report in which longtime producer Tony Visconti already confirmed that there is more material left from the final Blackstar sessions. Looks like Ziggy Stardust is already one or two steps further than all of us, right?
