Favourited black metal band WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM has shared some details on their long awaited new studio album. Celestite is the name of the record that follows 2011’s Celestial Lineage. And according to a freshly released statement the new album is “a completely newly envisioned, parallel-universe version” of the previous one. And this also means a whole new sound for the band. According to the press statement there will be no drums and no vocals on the new record. Instead of it we’ll find “deep, heavy crystalline synthesizer journeying, Eno-inspired analog processing and arcane acoustic instrumentation expand upon dimensions folded within the universe of ‘Celestial Lineage.'”
It will also mark the first release under Diadem Records, the label of WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM. Check out the full statement right here. Kind of interesting to see how this will sound. Further details of Celestite are expected to be revealed soon.
