On the 13th of July the first ever CRANKY FEST takes place at Antje Öklesund. And as trustworthy scene connoisseurs proclaimed it’s going to be a meeting of some of the finest bands Berlin has to offer in the most charming venue in town.
Rather one big night of live music than a festival, CRANKY FEST‘s exquisite line-up offers something for everyone, from the off kilter, spacey ambient-folk in the shape of YULE FM to the beach housey synth-pop of MAGIC HANDS, from Aidan Baker’s stunning doom-gaze project NADJA over the rollicking five-piece classic indie guitar attack of SKIING to the garage-psych-pop of one of the most impressive acts to appear at these nights, DELTA LOVE.
The evening glows even more when faced with the fact that this extraordinary audiovisual laboratory is threatened with closure and that Lady Antje Öklesund might not make it through the winter… So, to warm up, check out the live acts below. And by the way, as usual there’ll be some delicious kind of schnapps at the door to welcome you all. So we’ll meet you right there, right?
Delta Love (Berlin, garage-psych-pop)
Yule FM (Berlin/US, dream-pop)
Nadja (CAN, psych-drone-metal-gaze)
Magic Hands (AUS, dreamy synth-pop)
Skiing (Berlin/UK/US/NZ, alternative garage-pop)
