The London-originated collective Daytimers showcases South Asian DJs and musicians in a party series geared towards bringing the local diasporic community together. Recently, they hosted their first event in Berlin. Anna Grubauer spoke to Abeera, Imad and Arnav about what Daytimers means to them and their experiences of establishing a South Asian community-centred space.

Singer and composer Sheherazaad releases her second EP "Qasr" produced by Arooj Aftab. Not belonging to any existing category of sound, Sheher embodies the in-between, a diasporic sound and third-culture reclaimation of Indian classical music. We talk to the artist about imagined homelands, language, and her nomadic voice.

The South London-based Lucinda Chua is a multitalented artist. Cellist, producer, singer, and songwriter she now releases her solo debut "YIAN" (燕). The record is an intimate and atmospheric exploration of her identity as a person of the Chinese diaspora raised in England and showcases her carefully orchestrated and atmospherically electronic compositions.

Based in Berlin, the Haifa-raised singer and songwriter Rasha Nahas releases her first album in her native tongue, Arabic. Written during the pandemic, "Amrat امرات" is an exploration and celebration of her Palestinian identity and a touching album grown out of spaces in between cities, identities, and cultures. We spoke to the singer and are premiering the video to "Habbetek حبيتك" in this week's Introducing Feature.

The Berlin-based musician Yousef Kekhia just released his sophomore record "Polylog". It follows the introspective "Monologue" but turns its gaze outwards. Influenced by conversations, encounters, and exchange the record is a fluid piece of music opening doors and asking questions. We met the artist to speak about his music and he curated a "Beyond Borders" playlist update with his personal favorites from the contemporary Arab music scene.
