We’re already enormous fans of LOUISE LEMÓN here at NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION, having raved about the haunting gothic magic of her single Egyptian Darkness a few weeks back. With a song this powerful, you need a video pretty special in order to live up to its grandeur, but luckily she’s managed to do just that. The visual clip for Egyptian Darkness sees LEMÓN head to the wastelands of Death Valley, and we’re delighted to bring you its exclusive premiere.

The video sees LEMÓN explore the terrain, and the apocalyptic beauty and scorched sunlight of the valley perfectly match the song’s burning night aesthetic. She says:

The video was recorded in Death Valley which really cohered with the music. It really is a magical and magnificent place and the greatness of it reflects the feeling I wanted to portray with the songs theme of empowering and the musical expression. It was a very powerful experience being in this environment, travelling for hours with views only over the dunes.

As the song powers towards its crescendo, and a digital black sun hovers over the horizon, it makes for a powerful experience for the listener too. Egyptian Darkness is out now on Icons Creating Evil Art.
