Context?
Canadian dreampop two-piece Denise Nouvion and Evan Abeele aka MEMORYHOUSE has been one of our favourite new bands of the past years, so we are more than happy to have them back soon with the long awaited follow-up to their 2012 debut LP The Slideshow Effect. The new record goes by the name Soft Hate and after the lead single Dream Shake already received an emoji-filled lyric video recently it’s time for a real one right now.
Why Should I Watch This?
Because the catchy song delivers all the qualities we’ve come to love from MEMORYHOUSE. Nouvion’s voice teams up with psychedelic and partly blurry images of forrests and light-filled installations, partly at night and partly during the daytime. The video sets the mood right for the dreamy music, that much is for sure.
Anything Else?
We still don’t know yet when the new MEMORYHOUSE album will actually arrive but we’ll keep you updated on any news regarding Soft Hate. In the meantime read NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION‘s talk with the duo back from 2012 right here.
