While last year saw a fulminant comeback of disco robots DAFT PUNK in the form of their hit Get Lucky and the Grammy-winning record Random Access Memories it looks like the duo will party ways for a while. As French magazine Tsugi reports one half of the duo, Guy-Manuel Homem-Christo, is currently preparing his first ever solo record. According to the source he’s working in private on the album which might also feature multiple guest stars like CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG.
In the past years Homem-Christo also produced music for SÉBASTIEN TELLIER or KAVINSKY. Further details or an official confirmation of the album are still missing. We’ll see how much this will affect the future plans for DAFT PUNK. Relive Get Lucky once again with the band’s 2014 Grammy performance right here.
