Who is it?
MALKY are one of Germany’s currently most exciting bands, if you ask us. The two-piece from Leipzig delivers a haunting and exotic mixture of multiple genres, from world music to singer/songwriter folk, all tied together by a certain amount of honest soul. Their second full-length Where is Piemont delivers ambitious storytelling and the uplifting Theodore is yet another single from it.
Why should you listen to it?
Aside from it’s uplifting spirit the new MALKY single now also comes with a really lovely music video that sums up the emotions on the album pretty well. The Jan Rasmus Voss-directed video was shot in Protugal in an anctual torero school it features the emotional journey of a young boy who follows his dreams to make it in the bullfighter world big time. MORRISSEY would not like it but we couldn’t care less about this.
What’s next?
There’s still a few more MALKY dates ahead and you can see the list of dates right at the bottom of this article. And don’t forget to read our little story feature with the duo to learn more about the story behind Where is Piemont.
