Although they already planned to start the work back in last spring it took GRIZZLY BEAR another year to finally start the work on their new album. As the band now announced via Twitter they start to record the new album in May which will work as a follow-up to 2012’s Shields. Last year the band’s Ed Droste described the plans for their new sound: We’re feeling more adventurous with the sonic directions, changing it up a little bit — not like, a techno dance album … it’s in the beginning stages.
Recently, 50 percent of the band also teamed up with THE NATIONAL for their contribution to the Day Of The Dead tribute sampler. You can enjoy a GRIZZLY BEAR classic below before we can hear actual new music by the group.
