Booking, vibe and the deliberate attempt to challenge its audience: Poland’s OFF Festival is the anti-thesis to mere cheerfulness. You leave it being a little more aware of how every event, moment and piece of art is just as likely as its complete opposite.
Following a four year long absence we're happy to be finally back in Barcelona, reporting from Europe's best festivals with the most impressive line-up, including pretty much all of your favourite bands. But even if you won't be making it to the festival in person the Primavera Sound will bring you some of 2018's finest performances directly into your living room.
As this decade is approaching its end it is time for a little reflection on all the great music we experienced over the course of it. Of course, this is NOT an ultimate and universal Top 100 list. It simply can't be but these are the songs you should definitely give a spin before the decade is over. Last Saturday’s Record Store Day saw many interesting and sometimes even bizarre new releases and collaborations from many artists. One of them was some sort of split-single between exerimental folkers GRIZZLY BEAR, legendary BRIAN ENO and electronic producer NICOLAS JAAR. The last one remixed Sleeping Ute – the opening track from last year’s Shields longplayer – by GRIZZLY BEAR. And whenever JAAR does this he was abled to transform it into his very own world.
