On his recent record “Folded Landscapes”, Scottish composer Erland Cooper moves through time, climate change and human existence by means of vast, orchestral landscapes, created under extreme circumstances. Last Saturday’s Record Store Day saw many interesting and sometimes even bizarre new releases and collaborations from many artists. One of them was some sort of split-single between exerimental folkers GRIZZLY BEAR, legendary BRIAN ENO and electronic producer NICOLAS JAAR. The last one remixed Sleeping Ute – the opening track from last year’s Shields longplayer – by GRIZZLY BEAR. And whenever JAAR does this he was abled to transform it into his very own world.
