Last night’s JOHNNY MARR show at the O2 Brixton Academy concluded in an epic finale of the legendary SMITHS evergreen How Soon Is Now? And even better – Mr.MARR was joined by another legend of British music, NOEL GALLAGHER, on stage who joined him on guitar. He was introduced by MARR with the words: ‘I’d like to introduce someone who has been a friend of mine for 20 years. One of the greatest songwriters from this country. He’s a good man, I think he’s got a big future ahead of him. Mr. Noel Gallagher.’
The two Mancunians have also joined forces for one track on GALLAGHER‘S forthcoming second solo LP Chasing Yesterday which arrives next March. JOHNNY MARR just released his sophomore solo album Playland earlier this month. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION also had the chance to ask the man himself a few questions about the new record.
