It’s been quite a troubled year for MORRISSEY, to say the least. Besides releasing World Peace Is None Of Your Business, his first studio album in five years, he quickly started fighting his former label Harvest Records after its release, cancelled various dates and also revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer a while ago. It’s understandable that the former SMITHS singer is looking forward to a new year and a fresh start. And besides new tour dates it looks like the new year might also see a quick follow-up to his latest album.
As MORRISSEY now revealed to Serbian portal B92 ahead of his performance in Belgrade the musician has already completed writing the follow-up. According to a translation from Morrissey-Solo he is quoted by saying: ‘We wrote a new album and I hope that we will record it in February.’ Looks like retirement is still not an option for the charismatic musician. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION will keep you updated on more news about a potential new longplayer.
