Just like many others MORRISSEY was very upset about the death of his idol LOU REED two weeks ago. As a special tribute to the late legend the former THE SMITHS is about to release his cover of REED’s 1972 classic Satellite Of Love as a one-off single. The live version of the cover was recorded at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vergas back in 2011.
The single comes as a digital download from November the 29th on with a physical single following in January. MORRISSEY on the loss of REED: “He had been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be.” No more words needed.
