Texas-based folk and indie-rock band OKKERVIL RIVER has released the new song It Was My Season via a lyric video. It’s the first track from their new LP The Silver Gymnasium which will be out on the 3rd of September via ATO Records.
As OKKERVIL RIVER‘s charismatic singer and bandleader Will Sheff wrote on Twitter the new album „takes place in 1986 in a small town in New Hampshire.” And about the stage set in the clip Sheff explained: „I remember nights as a kid where we’d go to the Town Hall and watch guys from the town get up and play little rock and roll sets in front of this beautiful three-dimensional Maxfield Parrish backdrop… As time passed in my life, the backdrop seemed less real to me and I wanted to go back to film it to see if it was really there and was as cool as I remember it.“ If it is cool and who Jason is you can find out right here:
