American indie-rock band ROGUE WAVE is about to release its fifth studioalbum Nightingale Floors on June 4. Masterminds Zach Rogue and Pat Spurgeon will release the follow-up to 2010’s Permalight via Vargant Records. According to the press release, meditations on life and death will dominate the new ROGUE WAVE record, in large part because Rogue’s father passed away during the writing of the record. But it’s far away from being a sad record as the bandleader points out: “Everyone has drama in their life. Everyone’s experienced life and death and injury. Maybe us a little bit more, I don’t know. I’ve always joked with Pat: ‘Everything is trying to kill us, but we’re still here.'”
And you can convince yourself from this fact right here with ROGUE WAVE‘s easy floating new single College which is now up for stream.
