Spoon - Inside Out - Video

Context?

SPOON‘s sort-of comeback record They Want My Soul marked a really satisfying return of the band in 2014. And let’s face it, the hypnotic Inside Out was the best track on it. A beautifully floating piece of dream pop which saw mastermind Britt Daniel delivering a very soulful vocal performance. It was about time to give the tune a proper video treatment, after already giving it a first visual support last July.

Why Should I Watch This?

Because the paced down slow motion images of the new SPOON video totally fit to the aura of the song. We follow Britt Daniel as he makes cameo appearances in various really bizarre sceneries. Including a quirky bedroom scene, a masked robbery, a bar fight and even a wedding. Patiently the camera floats through these scenes while Daniel can be spotted everywhere in finest Waldo tradition.

Anything Else?

Inside Out has just been released as a special remix single, including reworks by TYCHO, OPERATORS, composer Brian Reitzell and Fabrizio Moretti of THE STROKES. And if you haven’t watched it now we highly recommend you this short but intense cover version of BON IVER right here.
