Since Friday various posters and a website around the word SUPER have shown up everywhere, teasing a special event that is happening on January the 21st, 2016 at 1pm GMT. There’s a website with a countdown as well as a special Facebook event. First posters were already spotted in Berlin, London and Paris.

And it looks like the answer to the frequently asked question ‘What is SUPER?’ is: the return of the PET SHOP BOYS. The British pop veterans are likely to announce their new album Super this Thursday as depechemode.de and other sources point out. The website was created by Kobalt Label Service who already released the duo’s 2013 record Electric. The duo’s longtime programmer Pete Glaedell also posted his sightings on his Instagram account as you can see below.

And last but not least: the short musical teaser sounds pretty much like the PET SHOP BOYS, wouldn’t you agree? The band already said that a new Stuart Price-produced album is planned for March 2016 and they are quite famous for their One-word-album titles which makes Super the perfect fit. Whatever it is: we might finally know it on Thursday.
